Antarctica and Greenland
News reports are that right now, 2 big ice shelves in Antarctica and 1 glacier in Greenland have broken off and are melting.
The sea levels will rise.
It will affect Miami and New York and New Jersey and Bangladesh and the Maldives first.
What should we do?
Nothing? And let our children and grandchildren deal with the consequences?
Or do something great? Create new jobs, burn less carbon, and bring the atmosphere more in balance?
If you are in the minority, you will say 97 % of the scientists are wrong, and the medical doctors are wrong on Covid-19, too. If that is you, PLEASE do not vote for me. Either don't vote, or vote Republican.
But the majority of us are concerned.
Should we wait for the State of South Dakota to ramp up programs to lower the carbon in our atmosphere?
No. Don't wait!
Start a social business that will solve the problem in South Dakota! Create 100 jobs doing it!
Create an all electric car/bus fleet that will take people from Mithell to Chamberlain. How about all electric service from Mitchell to Highway 34 to Howard and Madison (and back!)
How about electric taxi service in Mitchell and Wessington Springs-Planktinton-Kimball?
Why not work with credit unions, so if someone has a desire to buy an electric car for their family, your nonprofit or business can donate a $500 to $2000 grant so someone can more easily buy an electric car? (Disclosure: as of 9-15-2020, I do not own any shares of Tesla).
You can tackle any problem and succeed--and when you succeed, you will create Very good paying jobs and make everyone's lives easier!
Here are some great words from Arnold:
"Failure is not an option. Everyone has to succeed. "
Wouldn't you like to go on a cruise 10 years from now, seeing Chile and Argentina and the northern tip of Antarctica, and say to yourself: "Wow, this is great! I created 120 jobs and we helped LOWER carbon in the atmosphere, and we won!"
You can do this!
Dream big!
