  On January 10, 2017, the Economic Times published an interesting article on Dr.  Muhammad Yunus.  ( Micro-credit is a tool to create entrepreneurship: Muhammad Yunus)  Dr. Yunus tells us how we can create jobs and wealth: "Yunus, who pioneered the concept of micro-credit in the world, said that social business is the only way to create wealth and also employment opportunities. As compared to capitalist form of business which is driven by the profit motive, social business is all about creating happiness for others, he said. "Unemployment is totally an artificial issue which was being thrust upon by the present societal system," he said. "Why should today's youth seek jobs. Instead, they should look for creating jobs for others. This wrong thinking has put all of us in the wrong direction," he said. He felt one should be a job creator rather than a job seeker."  In chapter 3 of Burmese Days by George Orwell (1934), there are bits of dialogue from Flory, the Englishman who ended up in Burma, and Dr. Veraswami, one of his best friends.  Flory is always acentuating the negatives of the British empire and civilization, and Dr.  Veraswami is always saying great things about the British empire. Here’s the dialogue: “And in any case, whom is it pax ((peace)) for?  The money lender and the lawyer.  Of course, we keep the peace in   India, in our own interest, but what does this law and order business boil down to?  More banks and more prisons—That’s all it means.   “  (Flory speaking). Flory then talks about the British, his fellow countrymen. “I see them as a kind of up-to-date, hygienic, self-satisfied louse.   Creeping round the world building prisons.  They build a prison and call it progress, “ he added rather regretfully.”   (Burmese Days, 1934). Remember, Orwell is a socialist.  ...

  Here is the Preamble to the South Dakota Constitution: " We, the people of South Dakota, grateful to Almighty God for our civil and religious liberties, in order to form a more perfect and independent government, establish justice, insure tranquillity, provide for the common defense,  promote the general welfare and preserve to ourselves and to our posterity the blessings of liberty , do ordain and establish this Constitution for the state of South Dakota." Notice, that ordaining and establishing the Constitution is the final act of this Preamble. The after effect of ordaining the Constitution is the establishment of the Executive, Legislative and Judiciary branches of the government. But it is STUNNING to see what the PURPOSE of the Constitution is- "...promote the general welfare..." "....preserve to ourselves and to our posterity the blessings of liberty..." So our Purpose here is PROMOTE the general welfare of EVERYONE and PRESERVE LIBERTY for everyo...

 Our Governor Noem just spend $850,000 to advertise on Fox network, an ad showing what South Dakota looks like and touting her leadership. I f you were GOVERNOR, would you waste $850,000 on that? Everyone knows the Black Hills and Mt. Rushmore are here. Everyone knows Noem and her "no mask" leadership style with Coronavirus. But Seriously? How long does it take you to earn $850,000? (Before paying taxes).  If you make $50,000 a year, that's 17 years times 2,000 hours? A wise spend ? Hardly. Now is your chance to help stop this waste. Elect Libertarians to the South Dakota Senate in November 2020.  We will go to Pierre and look into the Department of Tourism budget, and see how much money wasted on dubious advertising can be eliminated. Maybe the Department of Tourism could use a smaller budget and do a better job?  Should we spend untold millions or billions on advertising our state?  Or should we make sure that WE THE PEOPLE are getting better economic benefit...

 What is your Biggest Dream? When you cast your Vote, do you think-- Ahhh! Now it can happen! Now, my taxes will stay the same or even go DOWN a little? Will my sales tax Go DOWN?  (Minnesota next to us doesn't tax food). Will I get a bunch of people in Pierre, who will work hard every day, to make my life ABSOLUTELY better?  As in College that doesn't cost as much, Unemployment INSURANCE that gets PAID to me (as opposed to as little as possible), generally, people who are 100% committed to INCREASING our economic Life and our Life of Liberty and Freedoms? If you don't see that coming from your batch of Republicans, then its time for a Change!
