2nd Day of over 1,000 cases- Where are the Leaders?

 1, 063 cases reported on Sunday, according to KSFY.

The record of 1, 185 was on Friday.

Where is the Governor?

Where is the Legislature?

Nowhere to be seen.

The plan of action against the Pandemic is.....

No plan?

The people of South Dakota deserve better leadership.  Infections should not be PEAKING in October.  Good leadership would have stepped in and BROKE the curve last March or April.

We can VOTE in new leadership now and on November 3.

Before the snow came to Mitchell, I went to a grocery store last night.  I saw 2 teenage girls shopping, no masks, and a few guys kin their 20s and 30s, no masks.  At Walmart, most customers wear masks, but the ones that didn't, I stayed away from them!  

These people that don't wear masks are doubting science and the very existence of Covid-19.   

By example, the Governor and all Legislators should wear masks and show the people they are SERIOUS about vanquishing the virus.  What a lot of people doubt is HOW RAPIDLY the virus spreads between people who don't wear masks and don't social distance.

Where is the compassion?

Are any REAL leaders willing to step up?

Legislators, are you e-mailing or calling the Governor, saying We need to meet, the Legislature and the Governor can stand UNITED against the Virus!  And not just say, there is nothing we can do.

There is always many things we can do DAILY to stop the virus from infecting each of us!

Wear a mask!  Practice social distancing, stand 6 or 7 feet away from everyone!  Wash your hands 20 seconds many times a day!

We may disagree on the issues.  That's fine.  We are a democracy of several parties.

The Legislature of Democrats, Republicans and Independents SHOULD MEET now.

The virus has to be vanquished!  BEFORE a vaccine comes out.  Other countries have done that--Taiwan and New Zealand. 

Can we, as a country, be as smart and compassionate as them?

I think we can!
